Flic Twist: the wireless and smart rotary knob for the home
The first striking detail: the size of this new button, much larger than the famous Flic button known until now! Indeed, the Flic Twist measures 6.5cm in diameter, compared to 2.9cm for the traditional version. But it must be said that this button goes further in terms of functionality, since in addition to a central button, it has a rotating dial to perform various more natural actions, such as dimming a light or adjusting the music volume. This dial is also equipped with 12 LEDs to signal various information. The central button offers the same actions as the original model, namely pressing, double-tapping, and long-pressing to trigger different actions. Each function allows you to completely customize your lights, music, blinds, and all smart home devices:
Dim the lights
Control music
Toggle blinds
Trigger routines
- Override voice commands
- Mix scenes
- But the Flic Twist goes further, adding intelligence to its functions. Examples include:
- Smart Dimming: Smart Dimming intelligently adapts to bright color scenes or different volume settings. For example, you can now dim lights based on brightness. If your ceiling light is very bright and your accent lamp is not, the variation will be exponential.
- Advanced Dimming: By rotating, you can simultaneously adjust brightness, color, or saturation. Sequence lights and even add events:
- Adjust brightness and color temperature simultaneously.
Use Advanced Dimming to turn on different lights in sequence, one after the other. Combine sequencing with brightness and color temperature.
The Scene Mixer: Flic Twist's innovative Scene Blender mode allows you to predefine up to 4 different lighting scenes. Transitioning from one scene to the next is seamless, allowing you to select the intermediate level that matches your current mood. This allows you to blend scenes and adjust brightness all at once, or move music between rooms or throughout your home.
The Selector: The selector allows you to select up to 12 custom triggers to activate or adjust. Each position is designated as a clock position in the app, from 1 to 12 hours (hence the importance of the 12 built-in LEDs). For example:
- 3 o'clock: Activates an Alexa routine
- 4 o'clock: Starts playing Jazz in the Kitchen
- 5 o'clock: Opens all blinds
To operate, the Flic Twist requires the Flic Hub. All configuration then goes through the manufacturer's mobile app, which acts as a gateway to over
a thousand devices and services

Like the other models, it's also compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple Homekit, and Matter, the new protocol that aims to unify the connected home.
