And a new projector review (and I still have some up my sleeve ;). It must be said that I've had the opportunity to find some very nice models. Many of us dream of having our own home theater, but the price or complexity of use can often put us off. Today, I invite you to discover the ETOE Seal Pro, a projector that could well change that. With its Netflix certification, integrated Google TV system, and affordable price, it positions itself as an attractive solution for those who want to enjoy a large image without breaking the bank. But how does it really perform in practice? That's what we'll explore together in this comprehensive review. I spent several months with this projector to share my impressions and help you determine if it deserves a place in your living room. So, sit back and let me tell you about my experience with the ETOE Seal Pro.

Unboxing the ETOE Seal Pro

First impression of the ETOE Seal Pro: the packaging is neat and reflects the device's design.

Interestingly, supported streaming services, including the famous Netflix, are prominently displayed.

Upon opening the box, you'll discover the projector well protected, along with its accessories: a Bluetooth remote control, an anti-static lens cleaning cloth, a user manual, a power cable, and a 180W power supply.

The Seal Pro's design is quite distinctive and will leave no one indifferent. With its dimensions of 25.7 x 19.2 x 17.8 cm and its weight of 4.7 kg, it features a vertical shape that contrasts with most projectors on the market.

Its black casing is elegant and resists fingerprints well. The projector is equipped with a handle on the top for easy transport, although it remains fixed and cannot be removed (a small drawback for those who prefer a sleeker design).

On the sides, there are two 10W speakers, which promise an immersive sound experience.

The bottom of the device is equipped with rubber feet for better stability and a screw thread for tripod mounting.

There is also a hatch that accommodates the Google TV box, which is already installed.

On the top of the projector, there are a few basic buttons: power, rewind, an OK button, and navigation buttons. These will come in handy if you lose the remote control, but the latter is much more practical for navigating menus.

In terms of connectivity, the ETOE Seal Pro offers the essentials: a USB Type-A port, an HDMI input, a power port, an infrared sensor, and an AUX output. For the wireless side, it offers 2.5 and 5 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 5.1. These options allow you to easily connect peripherals such as game consoles, USB drives, or soundbars.

The ETOE Seal Pro boasts a unique and sleek design, with a high-quality finish that inspires confidence. It's sure to be a standout in your living room!

Setting Up the ETOE Seal Pro

Setting up the ETOE Seal Pro is very easy, even for beginners. Let's start with the connection: simply plug the projector into an electrical outlet with the included power cable.

You can then immediately enjoy the services offered by Android TV. Or you can connect it to your various devices via the HDMI or USB port, depending on your needs.

The physical setup requires a few details. Ideally, the projector should be placed facing your projection surface (white wall or dedicated screen). To obtain an image of approximately 80 inches, allow for a distance of approximately 2.1 meters. The projector can project an image up to 200 inches from a distance of approximately 5 meters, which is impressive for this price range! The throw ratio is 1.22:1, ideal for projecting a large image even in tight spaces.

One of the features that impressed me most during setup was the automatic keystone correction. Thanks to its sensor, the Seal Pro automatically detects the projection angle and adjusts the image to a perfectly rectangular shape. No more tedious adjustments! The autofocus also works very well, delivering a sharp image in seconds. These two functions are activated as soon as you move the projector slightly, which is very convenient.

A word of advice, however: if you're looking for the best possible image quality, try to keep the projector perfectly level and avoid overusing automatic correction, as this can slightly deteriorate the image in the corners.

For software setup, the Google TV user interface (version 11.0) is intuitive, and the entire setup remains extremely simple. It can even be done via QR code, allowing for quick synchronization of your existing profiles with your smartphone. The included Bluetooth remote control is very practical with dedicated buttons for Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, and Disney+.

In less than 10 minutes, I had my ETOE Seal Pro installed, configured, and ready to use. Now that's what I call a hassle-free setup!

Use and Experience: Surprising Performance

Image Quality: Beyond Expectations

Let's first talk about what we all care about with a projector: image quality. The ETOE Seal Pro offers a native resolution of 1080p (Full HD) with a claimed brightness of 1000 ANSI lumens.

In a darkened room, the projector delivers a very sharp, natural image. Colors are vivid and well-balanced, with a good level of contrast (3000:1 according to the manufacturer). Blacks are deep and lighting details precise. As you approach the projected image, you can see that quality remains excellent, even in the corners and edges of the image, which tend to be a little blurrier on this type of projector.

I was particularly impressed by the richness of the colors and good contrast, which allow the ETOE Seal Pro to compete with higher-end DLP or laser projectors. The preset profiles in the menus (cinema, sports, or standard mode) are very well calibrated and adapt perfectly to different content.

Of course, like all projectors in this range, the ETOE Seal Pro shows its limitations in bright light. The image quickly becomes dull if you let in too much natural light. It's really designed to be used in dim light or total darkness. But isn't that exactly the ideal atmosphere for a movie night?

Immersive Sound: A Pleasant Surprise

Sound is often the poor relation of entry-level projectors. Not here! The ETOE Seal Pro is equipped with two 10W Dolby Audio-certified speakers, and the result is surprisingly good. While not as good as a dedicated soundbar, the projector recreates a movie theater atmosphere with well-presented bass and amplified dynamics.

Several sound modes are available: standard, movie, and music. Theater mode boosts the bass for an even more immersive “dark room” effect. I watched several action movies, and the explosions had a satisfying impact, although the maximum volume can seem a bit limited for very large rooms.

The fan noise (around 44 decibels in the immediate vicinity) can sometimes slightly disrupt quiet moments in a movie, but if you place the projector more than a meter from your listening position, it becomes almost imperceptible.

For an optimal audio experience, you can always connect a soundbar or external home theater system via Bluetooth or the audio output, but honestly, for occasional use or in a medium-sized room, the built-in speakers are perfectly adequate.

Google TV: a complete ecosystem

One of the great assets of the ETOE Seal Pro is its Google TV integration. This system provides access to over 9,000 apps via the Google Play Store. Navigation is smooth thanks to the MT 9630 processor and Mali G52 GPU, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage.

The Netflix certification is a real plus, as it allows you to play your content in High Definition, which is relatively rare on entry-level projectors. I tested several streaming services (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, YouTube) and all worked perfectly, with remarkable image quality and fluidity.

The Google Assistant is also included, allowing you to control the projector by voice or easily search for content. The remote control even has a dedicated button to activate this function.

The built-in Chromecast feature makes it easy to mirror your screen from a smartphone or tablet, whether it's an Android device or an iPhone (thanks to AirPlay support). It's perfect for quickly sharing photos or videos with friends and family.

Gaming: Playable but with Limitations

If you're a video game fan, the ETOE Seal Pro offers a game mode that reduces latency. I tested several console games and the results are perfectly adequate for casual play. Input lag is relatively low, but don't expect to play competitively on it.

You can also install games directly from the Google Play Store and play them with the remote, but I recommend connecting a controller via Bluetooth for a better experience.

Multimedia Use: Versatility Guaranteed

The ETOE Seal Pro is a true multimedia Swiss Army knife. Via the USB port, you can connect a flash drive or hard drive to play your personal files. The projector can decode some video and audio streams, but I recommend installing VLC, which will easily handle MKV videos and audio formats like DTS or AC3.

While it perfectly handles H264 files in Full HD or 4K, H265 in very high resolution (8K) obviously won't work on this type of product. But this isn't a criticism, as it wasn't designed for this use.

In terms of power consumption, I measured around 170W during use, which places it among the relatively power-hungry projectors given its limited actual brightness. Unlike some competitors, it unfortunately doesn't offer a power-saving mode to adjust the brightness.

Conclusion: Excellent value for money

After several months of intensive use, the ETOE Seal Pro has truly won me over. This projector delivers excellent image quality and immersive sound, all with smart features like automatic image correction and autofocus.

Its Google TV integration and Netflix certification make it a particularly versatile and easy-to-use device. No need to add an external streaming stick; everything is already integrated and works perfectly.

For less than €300 (using the code NNNFRGKBPJ), you get a Full HD projector with good brightness, quality sound, integrated Google TV, and exemplary ease of use. It's simply one of the best values on the market today.

If you're looking for a reliable, high-performance projector without breaking the bank, the ETOE Seal Pro is an obvious choice. It will transform your living room into a real movie theater for memorable movie nights with family or friends. And isn't that the main thing?

8.9 Total Score
The low-cost projector that turns your living room into a movie theater

The ETOE Seal Pro stands out as a remarkable Full HD projector in its price range. With its native 1080p resolution, decent brightness and integrated Google TV system, it offers an immersive cinema experience at home. Netflix certification, 2x10W Dolby Audio speakers and automatic functions (focus, keystone correction) make it particularly user-friendly. Its exceptional value for money makes it an ideal option for those wishing to get started in home projection without massive investment.
