The connected home reinvented: discover the amazing new features of Enki by Leroy Merlin

Imagine a home that not only obeys you at the drop of a hat thanks to your smartphone, but also helps you save on your energy bills. Sounds like a dream, right? Well, that's exactly what Enki, the innovative home automation solution developed by Leroy Merlin, promises. And today, it's pushing the boundaries of the connected home even further with some exciting new features.

Enki: the smart assistant that controls your home

For those who aren't yet familiar with Enki, let me give you a quick rundown. Launched eight years ago in the Lille region, Enki is a complete ecosystem for connecting and controlling your home with ease. You can manage your lights, heating equipment, roller shutters, security cameras, etc. In short, a real conductor of your home comfort.

But where Enki really stands out is in its ecological ambition. At a time when every kilowatt-hour counts as much for your wallet as for the planet, Enki has given itself a mission: to help you consume just what you need, no more and no less.

And this is not just smoke and mirrors: the new features unveiled in recent days add a new dimension to this vision. We really feel that Enki is not content to follow the smart home trend, it is seeking to redefine it.

The Energy Coach: your new accomplice to reduce your bills

Already launched in October 2024, the Energy Coach is an ultra-intuitive tool that helps you visualize and understand your energy consumption. And with the January update, it becomes even more powerful.

One of the big additions is the new “Summary Page”. This page is a bit like the dashboard of your car, but for your home. You can find, at a glance, a complete overview of your home's energy consumption. Even better, you can compare your performance with that of similar households.

Since this month, the Energy Coach also integrates local weather data to adjust consumption according to the whims of the sky. Rain, sun, icy wind? Everything is taken into account to optimize your energy expenditure.

The “Consumption Page” goes even further. It breaks down your home's consumption in detail, appliance by appliance. Is your electric radiator a little too greedy? Is your air conditioner running at full speed when it doesn't have to? You'll have all the answers. And the cherry on the cake: the data can be viewed from different angles (by day, by week, by month or even by year).

A little extra that caught our attention: a temperature curve is also integrated, which allows you to more precisely identify the moments when energy management could be optimized.

Finally, the brand new “Health Page” adds a new dimension to the Energy Coach. Thanks to connected sensors (and clearly very smart ones), you can monitor the temperature, humidity and air quality of each room. In the event of a problem – typically too high humidity in the bathroom or a dangerous drop in air quality in the living room – alerts inform you immediately. Enough to guarantee a healthy and pleasant interior for the whole family.

Heat yourself like a pro with the configuration wizard

Heating is often the black spot in our efforts to reduce bills. With the new heating configuration assistant, Enki strikes a big blow. This feature simplifies everything: you answer a few questions about your lifestyle, and presto, a tailor-made heating program is generated for you.

No need to be an expert in home automation or a temperature wizard: everything is done in a few clicks, with an impressive level of precision. And what's really great is that these personalized settings don't just boost your comfort. They also reduce your energy consumption. Imagine a cozy winter that doesn't weigh down your wallet, it makes you want it, doesn't it?

A sustainable and accessible vision

What emerges from all these announcements is one thing: Enki really wants to democratize the eco-responsible connected home. For too long, this type of technology has seemed out of reach for ordinary mortals, reserved for a handful of technophiles. But with Enki, there's no need to break your piggy bank or take a hacker course.

The application is free, highly intuitive, and compatible with 500 connected objects from 25 major brands, from the best known like Philips Hue and Somfy to Leroy Merlin home products. In other words, you won't have to spend a fortune on additional equipment to enjoy it.

Enki continues to reinvent the connected home by providing accessible and scalable solutions for all residents.

A European ambition (no less)

Enki doesn't just appeal to the French. With the support of Adeo, its parent company, Enki is part of a much broader project: transforming the way Europeans manage their energy consumption.

The figures speak for themselves: Adeo, with its 30.7 billion euros in turnover in 2023, is the European leader in the sector. It was therefore logical that Enki would become a key part of this strategy. Ultimately, the objective is ambitious but essential: to make the connected home an essential ally in preserving our planet.
