Do you remember the Segway Navimow i108E, this little technological gem that we tested some time ago? Well, Segway has not been idle and has decided to give a boost to its star robot lawnmower, with many improvements.
A robot that has a flair for animals
The big new feature is the “animal-friendly” mode. Imagine: your Navimow is walking quietly in the garden when suddenly, it sees Fido taking a nap in the sun. Rather than rushing headlong, our robotic friend stops 5 meters away, changes direction and finds a new path in a few seconds. Not bad, right?

But that's not all! Thanks to its cutting-edge artificial intelligence, the Navimow can now recognize 13 different animal species. From cats to cows to hedgehogs, it's a real modern-day Noah!
Pets:Cats, Dogs | Wildlife:Hedgehogs, Rabbits and hares, Birds, Foxes, Deer |
Poultry:Chickens, Ducks, Geese | Livestock:Cows, Horses, Sheep |
A robot that doesn't mess around
The Navimow doesn't just recognize animals, it also adapts its behavior according to the time of day. No more loud wake-ups for nocturnal creatures! The robot only starts its rounds after dawn and puts its blades away as soon as the sun goes down. Hedgehogs and rabbits can sleep soundly (well, so to speak).

And for sensitive areas in your garden, you can create “BioLife islands”. These areas will be carefully avoided by the robot, leaving a refuge for local flora and fauna. It's like creating a small nature reserve in your garden!
An update that doesn't lack bite
But wait, it's not over! The free update to version 2.3 of the application brings its share of surprises.
We're talking about an increase in mowing speed and efficiency of up to 30%! If the Navimow was already very fast at accomplishing its task, it becomes even faster.
You can now share control of your robot with another user. Perfect for delegating the mowing chore to your recalcitrant teenager (we can always dream, right?).
And for lawn perfectionists, a new manual mode allows you to control the robot with your smartphone. Ideal for those recalcitrant little corners that usually escape the vigilance of your gardening assistant.

Finally, the cherry on the cake, the Navimow is now compatible with Alexa. “Alexa, tell the robot to mow the lawn while I sip my mojito.” The future is now, my friends!
The Segway Navimow “i” series was already excellent during our test, but it clearly hasn't finished surprising us. With this update, it proves that it is possible to combine cutting-edge technology and respect for the environment. So, are you ready to leave your garden in the hands (or rather the blades) of this little green genius?
