If there's one booming market after solar panels, it's Power Stations. These large batteries are capable of providing power and autonomy, whether you're on the go or even as a backup solution at home. They're also a great way to store your excess solar energy! The AFERIY P210 model I'm presenting to you today, with a capacity of 2048Wh and LifePO4 batteries, is particularly attractive for its value for money. Let's take a closer look… Unboxing the AFERIY P210 Power StationThe first thing that struck me when I unboxed this AFERIY P210 was its sturdy ABS construction and compact dimensions (39.8 x 38 x 33.5 cm), despite its 2048Wh capacity, making it perfect for mobile use. The package includes everything you need to get started: the 2400W generator, a charging cable that complies with European standards, an MC4-Anderson adapter, and a detailed user manual. The manufacturer even included a practical tool bag for storage and a protective cover for the generator, which is useful if you want to keep it in good condition while traveling. The Aferiy P210 power station has a very understated look, in black and gray. On the top, a hatch opens to accommodate cables so they don't get lost, or to hold your smartphone while it's charging. Sturdy handles on each side make it easy to handle the 22kg device. On the front, there's a large LCD screen that displays various information on remaining battery life, power consumption, and more. Just below, a series of USB-A and USB-C ports, compatible with fast charging, with a power ranging from 20 to 100W. In other words, even recent laptops will be able to connect directly via USB-C for charging!
On the left, a cigarette lighter socket allows you to use numerous accessories. There are also two 12V/3A DC sockets and an XT60 socket capable of delivering 25A at 12V.
The right side houses the power button, as well as a lamp and its associated button, which can be very useful when camping, for example:

The display is bright, perfectly readable even in sunlight.

Of course, this AFERIY P210 has 230V sockets. They are located on the right side, under a protective hatch:

Three 230V Shuko sockets will power numerous devices thanks to its power output of up to 2400Wh (and 4800W peak!). In addition, its pure sine wave curve will power even the most sensitive electronic devices, such as computers, for example. There's also a ventilation grille on the top, which is necessary for cooling the battery when it's under heavy load.

There's nothing to report on the back, which only contains the specifications label. A detail I appreciate, and it allows you to place the battery along a wall, for example, without blocking certain connectors, unlike other brands that place connectors on all four sides of the product.

On the left side, there's another ventilation grille.

As well as the charging connectors, whether from the mains or solar panels/cigarette lighter:

Note that this AFERIY P210 accepts 1100W of input power, allowing a full charge in about 2 hours, which is very fast for a battery of this capacity!

Finally, the bottom has four non-slip feet:

Aferiy P210: In Use

The operation is similar to other models we've already had the opportunity to test. Once the battery is charged, whether from the mains or via solar panels, simply turn it on to start it up. The necessary outlets are then activated using the button associated with each zone. Relatively simple to use, then. Moreover, there's no mobile app here like some competitors. This might be a shame for activating certain outlets remotely, or adjusting the charging power. But on the other hand, this makes the battery completely autonomous, considering that there's no guarantee that such an app will exist in ten years. At least this model will be able to continue operating normally.

I was particularly impressed by the charging speed of this portable solar generator. In use, I noticed that the battery went from zero to full charge in about 2 hours when plugged into the mains, which is remarkable for a battery of this capacity. This time can be reduced to about 1.5 hours by connecting a solar panel. This is a considerable advantage for anyone relying on a reliable and fast-charging power source while camping or in the event of a power outage at home. To be completely self-sufficient off-grid, a 400W solar panel will allow a full charge in about 5 hours (sold as an option, but most solar panels can operate on it via the included adapter).

In terms of durability, the manufacturer promises a lifespan exceeding a decade thanks to LiFePO4 battery technology that withstands more than 3,500 charge and discharge cycles. I've only had it for 3 months so far, but the product maintains optimal performance, with no signs of degradation. And the manufacturer seems confident, since it offers a standard 5-year warranty, extendable free of charge up to 7 years. Plus, lifetime after-sales service is promised!

In terms of safety, this generator incorporates a powerful Battery Management System (BMS) that provides short-circuit protection. This model has also obtained numerous approvals for many countries:

With its standard European outlets and 2400W power, most tools can work on it, whether it's a hedge trimmer, a hammer drill, etc. This means you can plug in a wide range of devices, from a smartphone to a raclette grill, a beer tap, or a circular saw (be careful not to mix the two, as this could cause an accident ;-). |
For occasional cutting of longer pieces with an electric chainsaw, without having to use an extension cord, it's perfect! (1800W here) | Here are some figures provided by the manufacturer to give you an idea of the battery life: | It should also be noted that it can automatically start in the event of a power outage in less than 10 milliseconds. This is an essential UPS feature, which helps prevent interruptions during peak usage. So, for example, you can plug in a workstation without worrying about the slightest power outage. | In short, it's very versatile. |
This is the first battery I've tested, and it comes with a case. Always handy for protecting it! | As for noise, it remains very discreet, even at full power. When pushed to its limits, the fans are audible (50dB maximum), but they remain very discreet all the same, which is a plus, for use at night or when camping, for example. You won't sleep with your head next to the battery, but it'll easily be forgotten a little further away. | Conclusion | After spending 3 months with this AFERIY portable power generator, I must say my overall impressions are positive. The 2-hour fast charge capacity is impressive, making this backup battery a very practical tool for camping, home, office, or outdoor work. This is actually one of my favorite uses: having a plot of land in the woods, I like to work there and enjoy nature. But not under the roar of internal combustion engines, which are too expensive for me. With this battery, I can use power tools, which are practical and much quieter :) |
I particularly appreciated its reliable battery life during my own tests, which is reassuring for mobile users or those preparing for any eventuality, such as a power outage. I also used it several times this winter to power the house during “Tempo” red days by switching my power inverter to the battery, allowing the house to switch entirely to the Aferiy. With its 2400W power, it can meet the needs of quite a few household appliances, especially since it can handle peaks of up to twice that!

To add insult to injury, its very competitive price of €965 (thanks to our exclusive “Home Automation” code) makes it excellent value for money, compared to other renowned brands like Ecoflow, for example. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a powerful battery with good battery life at an affordable price.
